The NV Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/ amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer.
Offering aromas of honeysuckle, nectarine, bread and fresh hazelnut. Medium to full-bodied with bright acidity and complemented by a pillowy mousse, it concludes with a long, sapid finish.

Sour-cream and cooked-apple nose. Loose bead but it's by no means flabby. Like the 7 Crus, it has breadth but the fruit tastes riper and richer. Peaches and very intense citrus. Round finish.
Dark earth funk offers a decadent touch to the mossy, lightly balsamic aromas of apple pith, mushrooms and wild berries. There is a very good mid-palate and fine tannins. Juicy, tense and silky.

The Le Clos de Pallus is curvy and sure of itself while remaining lithe. It is such a welcoming style, all silken and caressing on the palate. While ripe and assured, this remains elegant and sleek.

Grilled red pepper, graphite, red berry and meaty notes. Fine, silty tannins and bright acidity make this taste lighter, if not ethereal. Delicious now, but can hold.
